Katana

Engine:

1980 Suzuki GSX 1100 ET, bored to 1170cc with Wiseco low compression turbo pistons, Village Bike Shop gasflowed head, standard valves with heavy-duty springs, standard Katana cams degreed by Village Bike Shop, Katana crank and rods indexed and welded, straight-cut primary gears, modified gear selector system, billet clutch with extra steel plate and heavy-duty springs, high pressure oil pump, extra crankcase breathers by Mr. Turbo, unfiltered S&S Turbo carb (suck through), exhaust rear section fabricated by owner from stainless, stainless headers by Mr.Turbo.

Frame:

Suzuki GSX 1100 ET of unknown year, braced.

Front End:

Suzuki GSX-R750 USD forks and yokes with top yoke conversion for flat bars, front wheel, discs and calipers, Suzuki GSX-R1100 clocks, Kawasaki ZZR1100 master cylinder with span adjuster, Goodridge braided hose, Metzeler Lazer tyre.

Rear End:

GSX-R750 swingarm, frame braced and monoshocked by owner, modified GSX-R1100 shock with different stroke and softer spring, GSX-R1100 5.5 inch rear rim, disc and caliper, Goodridge hose, Michelin 170/60/17 tyre.

Bodywork:

Suzuki Katana 1100 tank, side panels and fairing, Yamaha YZF750 single seat unit.

Paint:

Matt black spray cans (anti-radar stealth!) by owner, powdercoated frame.

Engineering:

All one-off fabrication as nothing originally fitted, exhaust routed through seat unit, all brackets by owner, minimalist one-off loom by Spud, Honda CBR 600 tail light.
